bibs, for sure, are awesome. I have quite a few pairs, and my favorite by far are those assos, especially the fI-13s2, they are a dream to ride in, nearly cloud-like comfort. However, I do tend to get a bit of nipple iritation, but it's a small price to pay for the actual comfort elsewhere. Another downside, which i've come across, crash repacement for those expensive bibs, i wiped on on my lesser assos bibs and tore a nice patch of the silky material away, leaving my skin to suffer the harsh/filthy pavement of our nyc streets, thus they will have to be replaced, if repair is immpossible. The shorts are nice for casual rides, where a more aggressive, lower position is of lesser importance, so the tight band does not interfere greatly, and generally are cheaper compared to a similar model.
