There's a right I have to make regularly when I'm on my way into town. The speed I go means that the lights send a batch of cars to catch me from further back just as I reach the junction. It's on a sweeping bend, so I can't see very far back to know where the gaps are, and these cars are approaching at 40-50 mph. Not a big fan of that.
this exactly describes the intersection I was describing above.... I can see up the slight hill a ways... at a steady stream of anxious autos, moving at a high rate of speed...trying to gage their spacing, and how effectively I have clip in and step on it is unnerving. Better to examine each turn individually and be safe.
