Yeah, it depends partially on what you have. Shimano 9-speed shifters are double/triple compatible except for Dura-Ace. With Shimano 10-speeds D-A and Ultegra are double or triple specific, others go both ways.
You'll need the crankset, triple bottom bracket, both derailleurs, and probably a longer chain.
