If you don't feel comfortable riding alone at night, especially in a very rural area, by all means keep the Fluid 2 and use that. Just be sure to get a good fan (preferably with a remote control), a mat to put underneath you and the bike, one of those terrycloth frame protector things that goes from your handlebars to your seatpost (to catch the sweat), and a TV with a DVD player....so this way you don't have to stare at a wall and fall asleep from boredom. Plus you can get some DVD interval workouts (the CTS video series is good) and keep yourself occupied with those.

Do you have a front wheel riser block to go along with the trainer?
