nice ride in today. Took the bike path in for the first time in a couple of weeks. They were still dismantling the remnants of the Charles Regatta- the annual skulling race that is attended by thousands.

On the ride home a huge truck was parked blocking the path and as I tried to negotiate my way around it I took a nice spill as I tried to come back out of the mud and ruts that the truck had made on either side of the path and hit the pavement.

slammed down on my left knee and hip. a kind of I fell down and went boom kind of fall. Now my hip hurts, my knee hurts, put a little tear in my nice orange long sleeve jersey. ticked me off especially since there was no obvious reason to leave the truck parked there overnight since there was a huge empty parking lot 30' away.

other than that a very pleasant ride.

My wife rode in today, too. And she took a different stretch of path and avoided the truck altogether.
