Okay, okay, I didn't realize it was a restoration. I thought this was more of a question of a bike you wanted to be able to ride tomorrow, and I was imagining you sitting there with a pathetically incomplete bike, simply because you wouldn't use a non-Campy derailer clamp.

Good luck finding the clamp, and do take the shim suggestion seriously if you can't find a 28.6.
