Pffft, my LBS sucks! None of them carried any internally geared commuter bikes... well, one carried an

Eddy's Bike Shop, but the nimrod who waited on me knew nothing of it. When I first walked in, I asked if they had any bikes that used the Nexus hub. He told me they didn't carry Nexus. I looked around at what they had, and saw the Townie. I said, "What about this? It looks like it's got a Nexus hub!" Duh! He muttered something or other. I asked if they could order any Cannondales with that hub? He pulled out a catalog or two, and couldn't find anything, though I managed to find something, which the owner/manager wasn't very helpful about ordering.
Another bike shop is run by the snobbiest SOB I ever met. I wouldn't give him the time of day, let alone my hard earned money for his overpriced stock.
I liked the owner of one other bike shop, but he carries no internally geared bikes, except for a couple monster sized Schwinn cruisers. Bought a couple overpriced accessories from him for his time. One of which was a single
Wald basket for the same price I could buy it for online. He only had one, so I offered to buy that, and pay for a second one to order. He declined taking my money for the one to order, and said he'd call me when it came in. When it did, he asked $7.00 more for it, saying the price had gone up! I told him I could get one online for the original price, and he said that wasn't a problem. Later, I showed him
a source he could buy the basket from, for only half the original price he charged me, but he said he already had a source. Sheesh, what is there, a 300% markup on this stuff?
So, I have no LBS worth a damn to me. I'll tell you where you can put them!
