as you may know i am looking for my first bike. giant has some nice bikes and they are some real deals on the used ones....their mid level bikes dont seem to hold value as well as some other companies.

but they do use the compact geometry which i would like to know more about. would the large size, i think it is a 55.5cm on the bike i am looking at fit a 6"0 with 33" inseam? i know there is more than height and inseam in selecting a bike but you get the general idea.

any advantages/disadvantages to a copact geo frame?
