Save going from a triple to a double, the rest is less obvious and there is where I wanted opinions, so that when the upgrade bug does hit, I'll have a fair idea of what is worth upgrading and why.

I am six months in to riding again, the last bike I rode was an old Dawes bike with Reynolds 531 and a couple of Campag parts. It was a decent bike back then, around 1989, but times have moved on
