here is something that irks me:

people in my apartment building let the elevator close when they know that someone is just a few steps away. i've had it done to me several times. this is the building where we all live too!! is it that hard to lift your arm up so that the door doesn't close and i can get in?? or do you need the entire elevator to yourself?
