It was definitely challenging. A few spots had me wishing for just one lower gear. But I pushed through and made it to the rest stop. As Brandy mentioned, the downhill and tailwind sections were fantastic!! Definitely my favorite part of the ride.

James, the kind soul that he is, waited for us at the rest stop. He ended up having quite a bit of time off the bike since he then had to wait for us to get some food in our bellies. But he did without complaint, as well as change all the flats. Thank you James!!!!

We saw caligurl at check-in, but she was off before we were even ready to go. Also met and rode a little bit with Kar3368 and her husband Tony. It was nice to finally meet you Karen!
