Yea, USA folks that are fans of cycling should watch him now. Before you have to fight the TdF crowd.

I hope he makes it. Makes my guttering him and preventing his move-that-would-have-won at San Dimas crit all that more special.

Good for him. I applaud Doge for pushing his kid to college and not a pro-contract. As Doge has pointed out many times, there is some much physical development between 18 and 23, that one could take some time and develop as a person and still come back to a pro contract.
That said, I know one kid who was a very promising cyclist at 18 - was a Cat 1 by 16? and had a top-10 finish in an NCC crit at 17 or 18. He went to college to race, but found he liked the college life more than the training and schooling. I think he burned out on it and now he doesn't ride as much, though he swears he's going to start training again.

Adrian has had a harsher schedule than most cyclists for a few years.

That is more impressive than the power numbers (to me at least). USA 15-16 RR is likely tougher the ToI.
At least it would be in 17-18.
FWIW Brandon was using a PM at that age. You can see some of his older rides.
Brandon also was not as dominant at that age.
By late age 15 - riding U16 he was pretty strong, then jumped a whole bunch U17.
Might have to due with age and natural development, or maybe joining a team with my kid and getting coaching.
Adrian does not post power. My kid doesn't race with a PM and I have just a few training rides samples for mine with then.

From the women's end (yea I know it is not the same) this girl is every bit as special. 15 and wins the local P123 races. Maybe she needs a thread.

I think by >:20 in under 6 min. Edit: TTT by 8 sec.
We have never had an American run this well at this age.
Brandon is very marked in the road races. As a junior he would attack and they's let him go. That worked as a USA junior - that no one knew. I don't think he can do that now. He couldn't do it at U23 Nats, and I expect the Euros have his number...
