Ebbs?

Noob question, what the heck does "ebbs" stand for/mean ?

um...I got no idea...

maybe eccentric bottom bracket? its not really a "racer" term as far as I know though.

Actually, that's the only way I've heard it used.

oh!

"ebbs and flows" is not just a racer expression...I should have asked for the context.

generally, this describes when a something speeds up or slows down, or increases a lot then decreases. you could say that the sales of roadbikes has ebbed and flowed over the years due to the popularity of different cycling stars.
