Pro Tour Canceled!!!!

Wow the major tours have a more power than I thought possible. After only one season the UCI has given in to their demands and scrapped the protour, it's all here in cyclingnews:

Specially loved the Stalingrad Wheels review!
Interestingly, as I read through it I found myself thinking, this could actually be true.

I thought that was the oddest array of cycling stories compiled to date.

Example:
And Hondo and Cipollini hair care products

Regarding rumors of Matt Damon as Lance Armstrong in the movie about his life
# Damon INSISTED that Michelle Pfeiffer play Armstrong's mother.
# He DEMANDED that Jessica Alba play Armstrong's former wife Kristin, and
# He EXPRESSED A STRONG preference for the casting of Vanessa Paradis as Sheryl Crow, despite the fact that the singer is not actually French.

Gotta be an April Fools joke.

The ProTour story isn't even on Velonews. You'd think that would be plastered on every cycling news page.

I'm sure they will be OEM on the 07 Rivendells.

I really got a good laugh over the wheels, that was a very clever bit of writing from the boys at cyclenews!

The last word went to WADA president Dick Pound, who in a rare moment of agreement with the UCI, said, "I think this is a positive step, and it will eliminate all doping in cycling by 2007."
