Red Leg, are you still in the Army? I am retired navy, but I did a tour in Iraq in 08-09 attached to the Corps of Engineers, running PSD teams. Thanks for your service! Hooah!

I'm the guy in the middle.

I'm 6'5 so I know what you are talking about but that bike is huge even for me. I did few races on Fuji Roubaix 64cm but last year raced Cannondale 61cm. Next year I will be on 58cm SuperSix

That is a hot Allez, Tom. I've been thinking of a similar build (likely an XXL, though). Any feedback on the handling/responsiveness? How about complete weight? Interested in hearing about a similar sized build from someone w/ experience..

I'm 6'6" with very long limbs. I prefer longer headtube over more spacers and the TT of the 61 and 64 are very similar so I go with the larger frame. Also the 64 is only available in the allez so it keeps me away from the pricier tarmacs and venges which offer 61s.

It's a great frame for the money. It's stiff enough for my 210lbs. The handling is pretty sharp but stable (the tarmac carbon fork they added this year has helped the front end). Fits it's purpose for me. Not something I'd want to spend 10 days touring on though. Built weight is around 16.5 as pictured. I don't do much climbing so can't speak to longer climbs or descents. I use a BB30 to GXP converter and have had no problems so far.

I believe the Specialized Roubaix Expert is avaialble in 64cm and the head tube is 26cm
https://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/...01&scname=Road

I'm more torso than legs so the long seat tube is not for me. (currently about 185lb)

New team whip...it's got my Enve 45s on it right now. Might be running "Beyond Black" 404s as my race day wheel.

there is something about Bontrager WHEELS that drive me nuts. I'm pretty sure it is the spokes. Other than that. Beautiful.

I took her out for an easy ride this morning. Decided to take a crappy cell phone picture before the ride. Thanks again Santa!
