Yeah, replace the Zipp logos with Specialized logos

But seriously I like it better without the red logos.

I was looking at some zipps on ebay yesterday and noticed that their lovely stickers cover their lovely dimples. So which is it? Dimples, or stickers?

That is a bad ass rig.....what was your rationale for putting the bottle on the seat tube over the down tube. I thought that the typical studies showed that it improved aerodynamics on the DT but hurt them on the ST. Also on a round tube bike, I would assume.

BTW, I am lusting after some Stinger 9's or a Stinger 9/Stinger Disc combo when I get back into TTs.

My own testing (a good use of the "personal wind tunnel" ) showed me that on this particular bike, there was no difference in drag between no bottle and bottle on the seat tube...but higher drag with the bottle on the downtube.

I think things could change when you're talking round tubed bikes (and what diameter?) and round bottles...

You should see what it looks like from the top, the whole main triangle, including the bottle, is barely more than an inch wide

Hmmm...fishes are somewhat "hydrodynamically shaped", aren't they?

Yep...rode it at lunch. Piece of cake ...in a couple of the gusts there were some minor "wobbles", but a light touch on the bars (i.e. NO death grip) went a long way towards keeping things under control.

Let's put it this way...I was no more "wobbly" than some of the people we ride with on a consistent basis..even when there's NO wind

sweet!

I'm about to purchase a soloist team. I've got the HED c2 60/90 setup too. My vision of the perfect bike is pretty much what you've got.

Impressed and more motivated to get mine picked up and ready to go.

No need. A powermeter and a spreadsheet is all I need to tell me what I need to know...and to almost the same accuracy/precision as any tunnel, for much less cost/hassle

I'm actually rethinking the bottle...I reviewed some of my own testing with it, along with some test results from Trek, and some old Project 96 data...and I'm thinking I might actually be better off with the triangle a bit more "open"...

Sweet, my "90's in 09" slogan is catching on.

Although, I ordered the 09's with the black spokes and they will be going on this this year.

I have a second pair of race wheels coming soon.

Ye Olde School Wolber Profil 18s, 32h DA 7400 hubs, (new) Vittoria Pave Evo 24mm tubs, original bladed steel spokes.

They were raced once, in the uphill time trial at the Coors Classic, and kept in storage since then. Not a single mark on either rim. Bearings are in pristine shape. The front wheel still has the original Wolber 19mm (?) tubular on it. Holds air for a longggg time, no appearance of dry rot at all. Amazing.

What bike are those going on? I wish I could find something like those for my Cannondale Criterium.
Since we're on the topic of wheels, I've got a new build in mind; the Velocity Escape tubular rims I have, Sapim Race spokes, Dura-Ace hubs and Vittoria Pave tires for bad race conditions and CX.
They'll have Zipp decals of course
