Lots of folks on here say their team is riding cannondale next season for example, but they have to buy the bike through a shop, usually at a discount. So for racing with a "team" does not mean, so here is 3-4 kits a bike and we pay all your race fees and accomadation? Can anyone join any team? At what point does a team become a continental race team.

You run team issue tape, but nobody on your team runs anything else the same??? Different saddles, wheels, tires, even different cages (a cheap thing that would be easy to have the same). Why would they (team) care what color your tape is?
