I just got named the official photographer for the SDBC, not sure what that means yet, so if you race in socal, especially in san diego, you're probably in their albums on facebook. Recent races are Red Trolley, Ontario #2 , TDM days 2 & 3, Roger Millikan. I hope to do all the san diego and ontario races and the big ones within driving distance. Feel free to post the pics here just drop a note of credit or leave my watermark. Cheers

Somewhere in the middle, not feeling too great. Oredigger crit SM3.
On the plus side the race was shattered to bits, on the minus side I wasn't able to stick with the top 10.
Pic courtesy of a teammate.

Working. I love this course. So much fun.
I'm in the middle of this one. Having gotten caught about 20m from the line by the sprint, out of a two-man break.
Didn't care. See that fist! lol
and then this is what it look like when I have absolutely detonated, but am immediately taking half the credit for my teammate's result.
and for reference, here is my buddy who won the race. We were in a 2-man break for the last half of the last lap. He held it, I didn't. That sprint is about 1.5 seconds behind him. So, friend/breakmate took 1st, teammate who is just gaining the confidence he's been missing took 2nd, other teammate scrapped it out for 4th. I rolled in like 9th. Pretty destroyed. Still worked the next race though.

A teammate and I hung around and watched the P12 race and the pro that won pulled into the wheel pit with about 6 to go. He told their team mechanic that something felt odd on the bike and the mechanic went about spinning the crank and shifting gears. While this was going on, the pro took some quick nutrition, and a breather. The mechanic finished up and gave the pro his bike and off he went. The officials kind of let them do their own thing, but it seemed to be nothing more than a quick rest and nutrition break considering the mechanic didn't do anything other than spin the wheels a few times.

I've seen "good" riders get preferential treatment around here. It sort of ended a while back when a certain Olympian named Marty had a "flat tire" which held air perfectly fine when a pit official pumped it up. He won but was DQ'ed for taking an illegal free lap.

That isn't right, especially if nothing was broken broken. If it's not adjusted it's not a mechanical.

In the middle wearing blue. Red/white/black helmet. Yes, I'm wearing my driving glasses since I don't have prescription frames. My form looks pretty bad. My wife took the picture.

Yeah, even a tweak is illegal since it's an adjustment, grounds for DQ if he jumps in (but he can chase if he wants). Sounds like he was playing the system/game/officials. Doesn't reflect well on the rider.
