I ordered this one today. Two reasons:

1. It reminds me how badly I wanted to win.
2. It reminds me how fast you go from looking great to looking stupid

Any more pictures of this race somewhere??

I'm waiting to get the actual images- I'll post a link when I put them up on Photobucket if you'd like. In the interim, take a look at Cruiser Tuesday's blog for a race recap.

Someone suggested I put some of these up here. Here's the blog link which gives you the pics in full size:
https://sprinterdellacasa.blogspot.co...ium-de_07.html

There's a vid of it too:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=OuBsh12WcWQ

So quick in the video, so slow and drawn out in the pics (and in my experience).

cdr - in pic 2, you look to be way out over the front of your bike, are you setting up your throw at the line or is this just where you are when sprinting?

Watch the video. Puts it in better perspective than the pics.

The junior in the Polska kit is a great rider, nice guy. We were at the PNC Arts Center race this past weekend; I marked him, he marked me...he was first wheel going into the last corner and still won the sprint, with junior gearing. We took turns upping the tempo trying to get off the front, but you bastids will chase anything up there in north jersey.

This one is from May 31 1982, Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch Texas. I'm the dude in 2nd, making the combination "dammit" and "ouch" face. I could've had that guy but I was tactically stupid. Should have passed him before the last corner. Well, that was only my 4th race. I won later that summer in grand style, wish I had a pic of that one.

Somebody help a brother out with the image tags?

From the first crit this spring. I had just been chased down with 3 to go. I think the unattached guy behind me ended up second while I died and fell to 10th. Guy was really powerful.

Not road racing, but since the MTB racing forum sees about 5 people per day, I post here.

Big ringin' it up the last little climb. I beat Georgia Gould (who raced with the semi-pro men because she's bad*****) and caught Katie Compton about 30 seconds after this photo (Pro women started in front of us, which was stupid)

Look at all those rocks... tremble in fear roadies, tremble in fear
