Of course you weren't DocRay was just (as always) making an anti-American thing. You see he can't understand the irony of his Ameri-bashing but will be the first to condemn any American that may hint at Euro bashing.

"Jan" is not a code name for Ulrich, it's just his name. If this was what passed for code names with Fuentes I can only question his intelligence. Every other leaked code name provides at least some plausible deniability- this one does not. Was Fuentes having a bad day?

I was thinking more along the lines of its unfair to assume everyone cheats.

Just IMO. Maybe its because I hang out with some pros and see how much training they really put in.

Not saying everyone's innocent, but I'd guess most are clean.

Oh yeah.

Here's the bottom line for me:

If doping is so prevalent in pro cycling to the point where the best in the world feel compelled to join in to even stand a chance, it then is no longer 'cheating'. It's a bigger problem than that, it goes to the inability of the sport to police itself.

If you buy that, then ask yourself why they never caught Lance? Was that his good fortune? Or do you think MAYBE that a guy that focused, that meticulous, that SMART would never leave bags of his identifiable blood in some Blood Doping Witch Doctor's office 1000 miles away from him. That's losing control. That's DUMB. That's asking for it.

I firmly believe that in this culture all the top names may well have been doping for the better part of two decades, so Lance didn't get any UNFAIR advantage from such activity. He just did it better and they never caught him. Again, that's IF he doped.

No courtroom verifiable evidence, please shut the F up. God knows what Doc Ray is suspected of.

Newsflash: samples of Doc Ray's bull**** were found in the BF archives after a raid by authorities dubbed 'Operation Euro' by the BF Media.

Requests for DNA from DR were met with a wall of silence by his representatives.

Other BF members' BS samples allegedly identified were those of Patentcad, Dr. Pete, Botto, The Cypress, Killer Penguin and El Diablo Rojo. More names are bound to surface.

Patentcad's reprentatives were quoted as saying: 'Yeah, so what's your point. If you want DNA, kiss my ass.'

The Cypress was unconscious and apparently unable to come to the telephone according to his female 'friend'.

Dr. Pete was reportedly out shopping for bike accessories.

Killer Penguin was on Spring Break in Florida and may return in a week or so.

El Diablo Rojo denied any involvment but did take the opportunity to restate that Texas is still bigger'n France.

Botto's response was reported as: 'incorrect'.

More details as they become available.

That's complete BS - BF Media once again showing it's complete anti-Montana bias. I can prove it, too - Cypress has never had a female friend.

I see no compelling evidence that this particular observation need be gender-specific.

First of all - just because Lance was not caught does not mean that he was clean. It means he was smarter. I am sorry - but logic tells me that there is NO WAY Lance (who according you some, was clean) beats all of the other top riders (who cheat). Just does not happen. And this is excluding all of anecdotal evidence from other riders, his assistant (who recently I believe settled with Lance {i.e. – hush money}. According to the Austin American-Statesman, “

According to Anderson, in 2004 he was cleaning a bathroom in Armstrong's Girona home and found a box of what he claimed in a court pleading was a type of steroid precursor.”

At what point do you finally suspend disbelief? Now – do I think that I blame Lance? NO. He had to do, because the sport just cannot police itself period. Lance would not be the millionaire he is today without the help of performance enhancing drugs. He was just much smarter and I presume, luckier than the Euros. For some stupid reason, all the Euros used the same doctor for their help.

If you want to know the difference in rider performance – look at the clean Tyler Hamilton now. He is awful. Might as well be a domestique.

.
I think that's the point I was making. But in the absence of a smoking gun, it's all pure speculation. Worse, speculation that makes no distinction between the guilty and the innocent. In my view it's all an indictment of the sport of pro cycling in general - more to the organizers than the participants. The riders seem like victims in one sense as much as the fans. Everybody's just trying to keep up with that EPO-dosed ******bag on the front driving the train up the base of the 8 mile long climb @ 24mph. Ouch.

As for all of Tyler's exploits being lain to blood doping becuase he's so much slower recently - he's 36 now and spent the last two years essentially training alone in the Rockies, which is quite different than racing in Europe. I'm sure he'll improve as the season moves along.
