Well with my current form I could go off on a flyer to break up the field then blow up in nuclear fashion. I'll see you guys back at start finish after I get done throwing up.

Move to La Canada. The San Gabriels will be your backyard.

I think more race organizers are moving to crits because it's costing them too much to get all the permits and support for a RR.

We lived right below La Canada before we moved to Thousand Oaks and yes the climbs are great. Honestly though I think the overall riding in the Thousand Oaks area is better, the Santa Monicas offer some great climbs as well. I just don't want to drive from TO to Hollywood/Burbank every day.

The permits are the reason the RR's aren't as prevelent in SoCal as they are in other areas. Here in Texas our season is about 70/30 RR to crits. It's easy to get the permits and they aren't as costly.

Leavin' tomorrow morning, will be there Saturday night. If I get into LA at a decent hour I'm thinking of doing Angeles Crest Sunday morning.

Too bad you won't be in before Saturday. Sisquoc RR, the last RR of the year. There is also the Everest Challenge in September. Devil's Punchbowl is a one day RR. It is always held in April. Last year (2006)they actually raced twice on that course, the new promotor included it in an omnium SR, but it is traditionally held the last week of April as a RR only.
There are other teams in the TO area besides Amgen. They actually have a decent 35+ team. You can be on my team if the girl in the avatar can model the kit.

That could be arranged...what team are you on? You can send me a PM if you want.

Heh, yeah I was going to post that when I realized he would miss it by half a day. Now you (you inconsiderate jerk) go around teasing him with what he can't have!!! How insensitive!!!

I ended up doing AC to AF this morning, I was pretty tired from the trip and I took it easy, 238w/48.34min. Man it's great to climb a mountain again and the weather is awesome!

Okay I'm moving into the new house this weekend, finally going to get settled in! So the weekend of Sept 8/9 where are the good group rides in the Glendale area. Does PAA have a team ride that I could latch onto?
