Nair sensitive skin FTW. My patented method involves using the Nair as shaving cream. Clean for a week or more, and I've got very sensitive skin - where regular Nair caused irritation, the sensitive skin stuff doesn't.

First time is strange, I'll grant you that.

You asked about getting easier....yes indeed.

I don't think twice about it....like brushing my teeth now....only once a week!

And yes, after the first couple times you can use pretty much whatever you want.

Heck, I go to Walgreens and get a bag of their generic disposables, single blade, for 99 cents. Works just fine. Shave...throw away...repeat.

If you do it every time you shower, it takes less than 10 minutes.

Too bad there is no equivalent for people with .. errr, woolly/nappy/kinky/thick/black hair.

Any of you have problems with in-grown hair? I get so jealous when I read people talking about shaving their faces with razors *sigh* .. I'm afraid to shave my legs as I may get bumps on them.

~* blech *~

I think the whole world is prejudiced against people with nappy hair. Now I know what Jesus must have felt.

I have a problem with razor burn on my face, but don't have that problem on my legs unless the razor is dull. Even then, usually just scattered small patches.

For some reason, this is what works for me: electic on the face, 3/4/5 blade razor on the legs. The opposite on each just causes misery.

Yeah I used clippers first. I probably should have used something more harsh like a weed wacker instead given how long my hair is. Showered before and after.

The worst part were my inner thighs

Schick - Intuition
...but wher do you draw the line on being reasonable?
Shave to the upper thigh or are you takin' it all the way up?
I mean...
Kinda funny lookin' with sculpted hairy "ass shorts".
Any of you doing your cheeks?

I start with electric dog clippers (no guard) for the very first cut of the season followed by disposables thereafter.

I'm pretty bad about maintaining between weekends and will sometimes go a couple of weeks between, so I use the electric clippers first and then shave in the shower afterward. I still usually manage to give myself one nice cut each time. Last night was no exception.

Check out products like Magic Shave - it's for you people. Also, immediately after shaving, scrub HARD with a washcloth. Helps out.
