Riskus, one thing. I broke my pelvis awhile ago and the surgeon (or someone at the hospitol) prescirbed celebrex. 2 weeks later I went to start PT and the doctor there was appalled that I was on any cox-2 inhibtor. Apparently they inhibit osteoclast activity...meaning they stop you from making new bone. Not a god thing when one wants to heal up. I'm no kind of qualified in this area, just a thing to maybe ask about.

Steve, sorry to hear that you're suffering. Give it about 3 days and it should be better. Nap as much as you can, and while awake, find something that's highly distracting to keep your mind off the injury.

Take care, man.

A confession: I called your surgeon and told him to make it extra painful because of that blasphemy you were spewing about Campy the other day.

I got my bandages, splint and stitches removed today. IVe got a plate and 8 screws holding everything together. Its kind of amazing that less the 2 weeks after the accident I am sitting here without a cast already.

Non-operative management of fracture is for wussy. Nothing heals like cold steel.

Now you just need a Ti bike so the hardware in your arm doesn't get lonely.

Dude, sorry to hear that. The peloton won't be the same without you.
