Bradley McGee
Hi Everyone
I like Bradley McGee but the only thing aganist him, i have is that he wears the world Champion stripes on his sleeve. this is because he is world Pursuit champ. I think he should not wear them as Road is a different disciple to track and you could even argue it is a different sport?

I don't know what the protocol is for crossing over from track to road and carrying the stripes with you, but I strongly disagree that pursuit is a different sport. Many pursuit riders have had successful careers on the road, Braun, Moser, Bondue, Ekimov, Boardman, Schuiten, Coppi, Altig, and Riviere, just to name a few. Successful pursuit riders are highly recruited for their ability to sustain effort, maintain tempo.

It isn't a great deal different to Stuart O'Grady wearing the national championship jersey of Australia while he is racing in another country. Should that jersey only be worn in Australia?
Road or Track is just a different part of the same sport. If the UCI allow it, then that's okay with me.
CHEERS.
