no need for volume, just slowing down, putting space between words, articulating, and trying to use simple (non slang) words/terms.

Umm yeah, its a joke...

synthetic testosterone is made from phytosterol percursors, typically derived from wild yams or soy. Those are both warm-climate C3 plants, which take up atmospheric carbon dioxide by a different route than temperate-zone C4 plants, leading to noticeably different isotope ratios. That's where all the isotope-driven studies of diet start from. The typical Western industrial-country diet is derived from a mixture of C3 and C4 stocks, so the appearance of testosterone with a C3-plant isotopic profile is diagnostic.

Getting back to the book, I just finished it last night. My feelings:

1) Lot's of plugs for the Power Tap and Saris. Not necessarily bad because he talks quite a bit about his power numbers, and I am curious about pro power numbers.

2) A lot of honesty about the system. That is eye opening, and I don't think fabricated in the least.

3) a small amount about what was happening IN the peleton in that tour. Interesting as I only saw what happened and guessed why it did.

4) I am guessing that there is also an amount of dishonesty there as well...

My feeling is that he is not as stupid as he was made out to be. Also, if in the american court system, this case would be no contest. Interesting...I wonder if this is part of the reason for the delay?

I have always felt that deep down, Landis really was one of the really good guys in American cycling. When he won last year, I was happy that an anti-Lance took over the crown of American cycling. Someone not so ego driven, someone not so media saavy. He was also friends with Dave Z, which immediately means he must be cool.

I just hope that if a guy like Landis can get caught, eventually Lance will be outed.

Reading the book now. It's really a very good and interesting read regardless of whether you think he's guilty. Reading about his training (trained with Arnie Baker) when he was younger (riding up to 24,000 miles one year) and his physical stats (measured by Baker) of VO2 Max, Hematocrit, etc is pretty interesting. Also, the way he discovered the TDF.

Good book. I can see why, through the personal touch/life-story, it makes everyone think he's innocent. However, aside from the book, I still believe that while I have no idea if he doped or not, I do believe that the French lab has NOT shown conclusively that he did dope.

Lance is retired and his rivals doped. Vengeance never sleeps and all, sure, but why the blood thirst?

Very good description of how I felt reading the book. Cool to see a Pro showing us Power Data too. I was like my MAX WATTS is more than Floyd's then I cried at how long he can hold it

I am afraid to ask what the previous book was titled. Kind of scary.

Why on earth would you care about something like that at this point.

In the book Landis did not mock Lemond's molestation nor did he question it's reality. Did he do so elsewhere?

I thought the book was well written and made a good case for Floyd's innocence and the system's corruption. The story had... unh... verisimilitude. I haven't read the other side of the story. Does anyone have any good references? BTW I read at least a book a week.
