I went pro today.
Not the kind that makes a lot of money, but kind of like being a Cat 1 triathlete.
I am booking therapy sessions in advance for all of the DFLs I am going to get this season. I dont know if my frail ego can handle it.

Good luck. Be sure the back of your car is comfortable, you'll need somewhere to sleep.

I've known many guys that were pro triathletes.
Some were actual money making pros and national champions.
Others were getting beat weekly by lots of age-groupers.
What gives. How did the latter get pro licenses?
btw - all the best in '08, you a short or long distance type?

I'm short-course. I'll be doing draft-legal ITU races (and losing miserably....mostly on the run)
Oh yeah...lol...how's this?

Is that like sprint triathlons. My bro in-law does those.
Best to you. And never count yourself out - ever.

I do plenty of sprints, but ITU is olympic distance...about double the length of a sprint (1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run). I have no intention of doing an ironman in the next decade, though.

Two friends of mine did one last year (Wisconsin I think). The woman I know said it was the most brutal thing to do to yourself. You should try it, Pro.

If Little Mike is still racing B's he's always up for going off the front. Besides, he'll probably crash in the last lap and let me win.
