Maybe it's just me, but I kind of enjoy overindulging the eating and lounging after a long day in the saddle.

Time to HTFU?

That century ride that you found me on last year.....with around 8,000 feet of climbing in 100 miles, which is a lot for southern CT (and most of that was in the first half of the ride)....lasted 6:45 as it became a more social ride once I caught up to the folks I was riding with at around the 43 mile mark (who started about 45 min. before me). I think you found us at around the 65'ish mile mark. I wasn't particularly tired at all....wanted to do another 30-40 miles afterwards....but hell, I am ALWAYS hungry. I have a bit of a reputation as an eater. Well, except for the food that was at those rest stops. Even I wouldn't eat sandwiches and stuff out in the hot weather/sun with flies all around.

I can't do a ride around here that doesn't have a 10%+ grade within 200 meters. Any ride over 4 hours long will generally have 6-10+ miles of climbing. Sometimes more. It's not the Alps, but it's not flat either.

I should move to Holland.

Those are some lumpy pancakes.

Leelanau Peninsula. If the hills don't get ya, the bears will.
