Tirreno-Adriatico '09

Just finished watching the first stage.
Sprinters foiled, young Frenchie living the dream.

This race has never been one of my favorites, but I do enjoy the action.
Very dangerous.
Quick paces.
The perfect lead-up to MSR.

How many times can Mark have a mechanical in the end of a race? That dude has some serious bad joujou floating around him.

Any Italian race is fun to watch. The crazy roads, the scenery, and it just seems like the races are less predictable.

Pettachi is pulling a Cipo. Always keeping us guessing, then bam, there he is again. MSR next?

Anyone notice Rollin picking up 4th. First time in the big leagues.

What a great win for Farrar! Against the best competition in the world too. Anyone know of any video of that finish on the web?

That is quite a line of great sprinters: Boonen, Hushovd, McEwan, Cavendish, (who is the Saxo-Bank rider?), and Farrar!

Very cool, way to go Tyler.
It was no fluke win either, he flat out got them, I love the Italian announcer. "TYLER FARARAR"

Great win for Farrar!

It looks like he could get a little more aero though, may of been the angle of the video though.

It certainly looked like Cav was slowing down after his initial burst.
... Farrar timed his jump just right, he accelerated all the way in - great, great sprint.

highpoint of the video? definitely the Italian announcer pausing, looking at his race roster, then yelling "FFAARRRAAAARRRAA"
