Sell all my bike crap, find a nice (but not too nice) 69 Alfa Romeo GTV and restore it. That or a 71 911 and make it into an S. I've had a 69 GTV and it was a sweet car as was my 73 911RS, can't even think about affording an RS but the 71 would be doable.

Hookers and blow? Probably cheaper than racing anyhow.
Seriously though...I'd like to think that I would go to ultra distance events, but that's just too much time away from the family. I'd go back to whitewater kayaking when there's water and fly fishing when there isn't. Or rock climbing. Or just spending more time with the family. Not being able to ride bikes would tick me off pretty seriously though.

El Diablo,
I'm already done with Alfa's and most older cars. I lived vicariously through my brother who had two of the early chrome bumpered GTV's and about 3 of the 80's V6 GTV's as well (also about 2 or 3 spiders). Man, that V6 made an awesome sound but the timing belts on them make me nervous. I'd love an early 911 but I hate rust. I'm not ruling out a Cayman in the future but for now the S2000 is hard to beat. The motor will rev to 9k without blurring the mirrors and it's super reliable.

Don't sell yourself short. I've got laminectomies from S1-L1, as well as no disks between S1-L5 and L5-L4 (I blew them out in college, and the laminectomies are from a hematoma that formed in my spinal column afterward). Docs said my vertebraes would eventually fuse together, since it is pretty much just bone on bone in there.
See what happens after the surgery.

I would do a lot of coaching and development. My favorite part of collegiate racing is taking the C guys and making them B's, then making them A's.
I'd probably sell a bunch of my bikes and get some new photography equipment too. I can only afford one at at time

I'd be a moto official. And I'd get back into sailing. And I'd coach a development team. And I'd play Ultimate (not if I had a bad back though).
Sailing is the ultimate probably.
Horrendously expensive? Check
Cool toys? Check
Athletic? On the right boat (Laser, foredeck on boat, 420, Thistle, etc)
Competitive? You bet
Cool people? Yep

Ultra-distance trail running.
Powerlifting?
It's funny how different those 2 are, yet they both hold some appeal.

I'd race cars. Well, probably karts, since cars cost a lot of money to race.
I'd also want to learn how to ride/race motorcycles, but that's probably not a "safer" alternative to bike racing. I've finally chickened out somewhat permanently on getting a moto (thought about it for about 20 years), although my friend's Ducati seems to have woken up that latent urge to get one.
I'd also play with and tune cars, specifically small displacement high output engines.
I guess I like wheeled sports.
I'd probably have to fight hard to prevent myself from getting really, really fat. haha.

definitely put on a few extra pounds by eating what and whenever...besides that, I dunno, but it would have to be something competitive...
