(although I modify it with some additives) Been using "the Queen" for three seasons now. The only downside is that it can bleed through a thin chamois and grease up the seat a bit. This is only a problem riding no-hands on a TT bike with a nose down seat during a hot summer day. I slid off. Yes I did. |
dang. that's it, my secret to getting 27th place in cat4 crits is out! I really need to hide all of my EPO suppositories better.

I'm not sure you have the sequence of events quite correct on the stage today. When Popo went clear, Levi still had Lance and another Astana rider in company - and he was right with all the contenders. He looked like he was simply riding tempo up the last slope, and hoping to make it stick. He was over 1km ahead with under 5K to go when Levi got unhitched. He literally would have had to ride back down the course to help Levi out - and when have you ever seen the fellow leading the stage on the final climb do that? When have you seen anyone in a race do that?
Had it been a cooler day, I think Popo might well have been able to hold on and grab the win. I see a lot of people being really harsh on the Astana tactics here, but this was not a blunder, IMO. Bad fortune for Popovich, who has used similar tactics to win a stage in the Tour, and for Levi, who now knows staying at one's peak for 3 months is too much to expect. True that Popo was pretty far up the road but at the point that Levi flatted the call should have gone out for Popo to get ready to come back to help. Popo buried himself yesterday and will be needed tomorrow if Levi has any chance to gain back some time...will he have any thing left? He looked shattered when Sastre passed him..utterly defeated. It seems to me that going for a stage win when your main GC threat is faltering is pretty pisspoor tactics. Astana, for all the talk of them being the best stage race team on the planet, sure hasn't demonstrated that kind of brilliance in the Giro. They are looking more Ferrari without Braun and Schumacher than the all conquering stage racing team of old. |

how does that cocoa butter hold up on hot days at over 3 hours? That is when mine needs refreshing.

Finally, my Scott Addict has far more stage wins in this Giro than your Cervixo. I've raced against Olympians and TDF guys (and Lance BTW). They are, in fact, cyborgs sent from other planets to destroy our will to race. I have no mancrush on people I have never met and with whom I share only my country of residence, so my mind is clear and my will is strong. They shall not triumph in this lifetime as long as my SRM displays a single watt. I continued my battle against these forces by winning our open master's criterium today. The world is safe for another week. I ask for no thanks. It is what I do. Da doo doo doo. Do da da da. Is all I want to say to you. http://shop.willshootphotos.com/gall...307_Cb2Tv-L-LB |

You realize statements to the press don't always reflect reality. The fact remains that levi got dropped and lance didn't help him for quite a while. Just because members of the team are trying to pretend that everything is runnnig smoothly in astana doesn't make it so. Neither JB nor levi are lying lance did help him all the way to the finish but he didn't drop back until levi had lost a lot of time. Why?

'BF Credibility' has to be the Oxymoron of 2009, and it's only May.

Nope, can't argue with that. You'll have to excuse me now, I have to go fill an order for snow shovels in Hades. |

No I saw the race correctly...the question was asked "what was the point of putting Popo up the road" and I answered it. The point was to have him ready and waiting when the main group (that should have included Levi) caught them. Levi then would have had some help to get him to the last few kilometers. The plan fell apart when Levi failed to make the break.

Excellent. Stuff is persistent. Just rinsing in water won't get rid of it, and it's so bleeping inexpensive that you don't blanche at big glops when needed.
+1 to the stuff lasting a long time, too. I can't just rinse it off my hands once I'm finished applying the product... I wipe my hands off on the dog's towel. |

I bought two tubs from Amazon on your recommendation. Been using it for 2.5 seasons now and, even with my liberal application, I still haven't gone through my supply.

This could have been his only stage win ever in a GT. But he gave it up... |
