i saw the replay. that's what happened. the echelon was forming to the right, and he was overlapped to the left of the rider in front of him.

echelon moved left, his front wheel got clipped.

what's that? 1 or 2 years before you started racing?

That's how you ride an echelon in a TTT. You're counting on teammates in front not to take you out. Overlapping is fastest with a strong crosswind.

yes but you overlap in the direction of the wind.

if the wind is coming from the left, you don't want your front wheel to the left of the rider ahead of you.

I think he has a history of that. Wasn't it in the 05 or 06 TdF where he went down 3 or 4 times in the final TT. (Could be mistaken since the java has yet to kick in this morning)

Pros touching wheels on a straight does not usually lead to an off.

so what's the consensus on the ag2r-la mondiale kit?

while at first glance it's a little reminiscent of the garmin argyle, it has slowly grown on me.

at the very least it gets points for a unique color choice.

I like the colors. Very contemporary.

Still undecided about the design though.

Oh, ok. Well yeah, that just doesn't make any sense. I'm just reading the text, so I didn't actually see it.

Carlton Reid (Eurosport) described ag2r as 60's retro -Audrey Hepburn head scarf. I like it.

Sometimes I think the Tour organizers actually want these guys to crash.

From the Velonews updates:

"Cadel Evans is apparently sprinting for the finish... odd. The time will still be based on the fifth man."

Silence-Lotto not so hot. I want to see Evans lose it and start whining to the media about his team underperforming.

he was sprinting, he just accelerated, and didn't bother looking back.

the man has no leadership qualities, which is why he'll never win the tour.

Garmin has a history of sacrificing riders.
