I actually looked for oreos and couldn't find any
So I resorted to my normal guilty pleasure, and let me tell you what, they did not disappoint.

Guinettes on chocolate ice cream.

I don't care if they make me slower. It was worth it.

Apparently too much. My coworker just walked into my office as I was snacking on some nuts and said "why is it that every time I see you, you are eating something?" This is the fourth person who has commented on my eating habits.

People, I ride my bike a lot, you all know this, please quit harassing me about the frequency with which I consume food. Seriously.

Now onto lunch: chicken with eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, tomatoes, chickpeas, a nice mix of spices, and whole wheat cous cous. God I love this dish.

Rode for 70 min at z2 on an empty stomach this morning. I'd read some study that said this was the way to burn fat. Now I'm sitting at my desk scarfing fruit.

I have no willpower. Moved my bin of trailmix into the garage (condo complex, not a connected garage) so I won't wake up with a mouthful of it at 2am. My first race is coming up, it's (for me) about a 30 minute hill-climb. Each lb = 10 seconds.

I was a trail mix addict earlier in the season. Eventually managed to break that habit. It is so good though.

Ever see the Twilight Zone(?) episode where the fisherman takes a bite out of an apple, but it has a hook in it? He gets pulled into the lake, love that one.

Anyway, why angrily?

Just ate a 32oz steak from Old Homestead.

*update*
12 hours later, I feel absolutely horrible. I wish I never ate that damn steak. On the verge of vomiting.

I've lost weight: good. I'm FREEZING all the damn time now: sucks.

I'm 6'3" 170lbs. Down from about 180lbs 2-3 months ago. It was 55f on my ride in this morning and I felt like I needed a jacket and long gloves. I'm at my desk shivering now, though it's probably 68f in here.

Weighed in at 166 lbs this morning. 1 lb to go for this summer's goal. Then maintain until this fall/winter.

Corn, baked sweet potato, a little piece of grilled chicken and one of the top two best pieces of steak I've ever had. My sister got it from a local farm stand, they raise their own cows and sell the meat. Absolutely incredible.

There's nothing like locally raised beef, is there? (Unless it's locally raised lamb. MMMMmmmm!)

Is it normal for your metabolism to be crazy the couple of days after a very hard couple of days (stage race)? I'm eating pretty much the same as I always have, but I've been wayy more hungry. I haven't been weighing myself so I'm not sure if I'm losing/gaining weight, but it's just odd how hungry I've been the past couple of days.

Don't ignore the hunger signals, you'll only delay recovery. Metabolism isn't a static entity, it can upregulate by 30% (or more) when there's work to be done.
