Just signed up for USAC license .... oooops
Just signed up for USAC license, but no worries Cat 5 racers, it is purely for entertaining purposes.
After riding for about 2 years (and losing 46lb), I just needed some extra motivation and way to measure my fitness with other couch potatoes. I'm still fat and slow compare to most on this forum but hey, we all have to start somewhere right?
I guess now I should look through the SoCal racing calendar and find some dates to embarrass myself

No excuses now. Just saddle up and race. You'll gain a lot just by doing that.

Thats awesome, congrats! I'm trying to lose 8 more pounds. (for now).
I'm close to 6'5 (195cm) and 198lb and I feel like 190lb may be OK weight for my height.
Obviously, it will be hard to drag my heavy body bigger hills in some races so I will have to look for something flat(ter ) at the beginning.

I'm 6'5" and have been racing at 215-220 pounds for the last two years, doing so-so in the 4's. This year's goal is to get down from 210 to 200 for hilly races. You'll be fine at 198. Sign up for as many races as you can, it's fun!

I was planning on doing Fiesta Island TT on Feb 7th even before I got the license as a part of my Tri training.
Was thinking about Boulevard but already planned on doing the TT on Sun and I dont want to be completely cooked for my first ever TT so the Boulevard is very unlikely.
