2 a days aren't that tough if you understand nutrition and how to get your body prepared for race 2.

that being said, I see a lot of the hard parking car people getting into bikes. At first it was track bikes, now they are all getting road bikes because they don't like pushing their bikes up hills. I forsee a lot more Dura-Ace triple cranksets being sold in the next couple years.
Actually, I'm just angry that they even make such an abomination. I'm supposed to be able to get quality used dura-ace parts from freds that upgrade to the next years stuff so I can race the crap out of last years. What good is their used triple going to do me. DAMN YOU SHIMANO.

Here let me fix that for you. I don't know a flying fark about car racing. So since you don't know anything about it don't farking comment on it.
But since I like you I'll give you a bit of an education. There are so many correlations between amateur car racing and amateur bike racing (actually there quite a few in profession ranks as well). The personality types, the self funding, the Walter Mitty aspect...it's actually one of the reasons I love bike racing so much as it reminds me quite a bit of my auto racing days. I've heard Ex talk about bike racing and his M/C racing days the same way.

Yeah the Orvin guys all got dumped into cat 3 for the Houston Grand Crit because they didn't have US based UCI license.

So much for recovery and nutrition. Reverse-eat something, then roll to line

Well, that's hardly a normal occurrence, but I doubt there were many tired legs in the Cat 3 pack anyway. I would think Orivn would send two guys up the road and the rest would shut down the field (probably at 28mph). Smooth ride.

Also, if you can't do 2 crits in a day, you're clearly not doing it right. I've done 4 in a weekend and done fine in them, being active and placing. I was wiped the eff out on sunday night, but I got 'er done.
Again, who are you, and why should we care?

...or you just wing it. I won a Cat 3 crit, and the P123 race started 3 minutes later. I puked a bit when they were cutting my Cat 3 number off at the paramedic tent (I pinned them both on at the same time to facilitate quick change). I rolled to the line and didn't even get to stop. First five laps were no fun. RX was flying off the front at that time, keeping it lively (his 2nd race also). By the end of the race I'd found my legs and was closing gaps at the front for our sprinter.

Yeah I think the avg speed for the 3/4 race was 27mph-28mph. The Pro1/2 was avg was also 28.
