I guess that's the other thing: at 500m, from that far back, there is no recovering that will help you win anything. If you still had visual function, then you didn't need recovery. That was the point where you needed to lay it all out and punish yourself for being in that position.

Just sayin'

I like that. Instead of beating myself up later I can do it right then and there.

gopro footage from the UCSC mens A's crit this past weekend. got into the first break but didn't stick and missed the second one so I wound up chasing/attacking a lot (should have chosen my moments more carefully too). i noticed that I have to be a lot more assertive coming into the sprint as I gave up wheels for apparently no reason, but then gained a lot of ground during the sprint.

I'll throw my video in here: William & Mary Tidewater Winter Classic RR, Cat 4 Men. Out of position for the sprint, but pulled out a decent placing after nearly getting caught up in a crash.

Nice job, great vids! I was there, too - women open (all five of us!). OTB for me, but I raced Snelling the day before and was pretty tired.

You know, for the token crippled guy, my pedal stroke didn't look as bad as I figured it would. Cool video.

I like how they both celebrated. Wonder who actually won. Looked like the guy in green?

Looks too young for Masters. Masters usually aren't so vocal, either, except maybe for the car. That jersey doesn't look like last year's jersey, and technically one is not supposed to wear a national championship jersey unless they are a current champion. My guess is 1/2/3 or 2/3.

If you are a Masters national champion you can only ride your jersey in Masters races, not category races, and only if you are a current champion.
