Getting ready for a race this morning, my hair putty comes in similar packaging as my chamois cream. Guess which one I put on the wrong place?

Well, I'm engaged. We had a nice weekend together, although it didn't end that well thanks to a snafu with the cabin. Supposedly we had the whole day and didn't need to check out, until housekeeping walked in while we were getting ready to do some stuff. That wasn't cool, kinda ruined things a little. We still had a great weekend though, and we're loving being engaged.

Now back to normal life. Getting back in shape, getting to work.

If you want to hear some good stories, ask a hotel housekeeper about some of the stuff they've walked in on.

Just wanted to point out that if you want to see the largest collection of stupidity go to the airport and do some travelling. I swear people leave their brains at home when they travel.

That was the perfect chance to find out how open minded your new fiance is.

It's funny you should say this. We had a guy on our team last year who was a really strong rider with a Tri background. In the early season, we worked to help him get his points to upgrade to a 2.

This year, he quit the team. Said he thought he could do better on his own.

Aren't you supposed to do that kind of thing before you commit to marry someone?

Well based on his intense gratitude I hope your team "welcomes" him into this year's race season (please read between the lines)

was suppose to race Sunday. Didnt. Thought maybe racing 3 days before I get married might not be the best thing...after reading the recent race reports I feel good about my decision...

probably wont race more than a few times this year. Too much going on, and not real motivated to drive 2+ hrs one way to race for 45-60 min. Last year when I had teammates it was fine but now Im solo...*shrugs*

Witnessed a three fatality accident on Saturday night in tallahassee . We were sittting at a red light down town when the car sitting on the other side of the intersection got blasted by a drunk driver doing what lomed like 70mph or so

Shook me up more than I thought, given that I deal with fatal accidents on a regular basis. Seeing it happen, and where my daughter goes to school had an effect I guess.

Should be pretty easy to ensure his premonition of doing better solo to be incorrect.

Gah. I can imagine it would be a lot different witnessing than responding.

It seems to have been a pretty bad weekend for a number of folks on the board.

I go away for a few days and this place falls to pieces. Ex gets broken up badly, so does that guy whose name can not be mentioned. Then flatballer gets engaged. When will it end???

We discussed it. They were old and ugly. More like RTC's taste. Not interested.

Congrats to PSIMET on taking the leap. Best of luck.

Spent the morning cleaning the fiance's car, then my car, then my road bike. Planned on doing the MTB, but didn't feel like it. Going for a ride in a bit, it's gorgeous here. Near record highs. I'm loving it.

Of course right after I try to do something nice for my bike and clean it, my FD cable slips out on my ride. We'll see how long it takes to get washed next time, ingrate.

My bike works perfectly because the dirt is keeping everything in place.

Oh hell. I just totally spaced on the time and forgot to pick up the kids from school. Luckily my daughter's best friend's mom is bringing them home. It truly takes a village. Or at least it does for my kids.
