Fixed that. Doing the tandem TT. Former Olympian and last year's team that won by 4m in the mix.

And thanks. I'm starting to eye the crit too.

Masters 55-59:
TT
RR
Crit

I'm on the other side of not being smart. I figure since I'm driving all that way I might as well do it all. Not happy about the schedule though. Wednesday mid-day TT, Thursday 8:00a RR. I'll be nice and fresh for the Saturday crit with shovelhd.

I'll be in Bend next Monday afternoon.

Is the tandem TT actually on a tandem? or is it a two-man TTT?

Tandem

We had fast time out of all the Tandem competitors at States with a 48:30, and only had a few Cat 1 folks go faster. We lost around 30 seconds thinking we had a flat rear tire and had another few snafus.

Since then we added some real aerobars and a much better position for the driver, dumped the road bars and have real TT shifters and brakes, yanked off the bullhorns and added in a modified aerobar for me. Better, higher pressure tires and some tweaks to make sure it shifts well.

With the improved positions we should be a minute or more faster I think.

Ex, given the race predictor, maybe you should just skip the road race? I mean, a teammate I'm (sometimes) competitive with is predicted to finish 30 places ahead of you! But of course, another teammate, that usualy beats the other one, is supposed to finish 10 places behind him.

Cleave and Shovel - I think you two will need to watch the 55-59 UC Cyclery guys. I'm guessing there will be some teamwork there.

If the flights worked better, I'd make a last minute trip to play pit-crew and cameraman.

Only one crit per age group. Younger Masters on Saturday. Older Masters on Sunday. There's probably an oxymoron in there somewhere.

where can i find this omniscient race predictor? seems like a load of bull, though if it's a USAC thing, i won't be surprised.

The race predictor doesn't work too well for tandems. It's predicting me to finish 5th in the RR, and my wife 8th. I think that's going to be difficult if we both stay on the bike.

Maybe a dumb question (or an inquisitive idiot) , but does 90+ mean a combined age of 90+? and do you both have to be over 35?

For 90+ both ages must add up to at least 90.
