Sorry to hear about your situation. We have seen a little of that hear as well. There is a subdivision around the corner from me that is gated and has some monsters in it. As the homes weren't selling out the builder has decided to mix in some significantly smaller (half the size) and a third the value in with the homes. I'd be ****ing pissed so I can appreciate what you are going through.

And rbart there was a similar situation in Oakville years ago, someone wanted to build a 25000 square foot home on the water and do it in pink stucco - there was quite an uproar over that one.
Ahhhhh Ancaster, used to live there, too bad it's attached to the ******* of Ontario...

There was a Spring Series there back in the day.

Yeah, and I'm also a believer in doing most of your training on the same bike you'll race on. But for those other uses, it's a great thing to have around. Yeah, you could have a better bike for the same job that's still cheap and tough, but I just love the look and feel of a DT shifter bike of that era - aero levers, indexed shifters, but nice clean lines. And integrated shifters are faster, easier and let you shift whenever you please, but I've never used one with quite so satisfying a feel as the click of a good indexed DT shift lever.

Anybody "win" the Leadville lottery? I entered, but apparently didn't get selected.

Haha yeah I always feel the same way. I got Federal back.

Only owe $1 for State though. Doesn't get much better than that. Except of the fact that it's because of rounding, and I should really owe $0.

The latter; you gave the government a no interest loan. The system is purposefully set up for most people to get a refund in order to make people feel good about the refund rather than bad about how much tax they paid.

Have enough witheld that you hit the safe harbor, and nothing more. ( 90% of this year's tax liability; or 100% of last year's tax liability for incomes under $150,000, or 110% of last year's tax liability for incomes over $150,000)

I hate the whole process of filing taxes and figuring out the right amount of withholding.

I just want to engineer and program cool things.

I'd rather spot the government a small loan interest free (vs the wonderful 0.25% I'd get carrying that much in my rainy day savings account) than get hit with an unexpected bill come March/April. This year we did the turbo tax thing though we had to pay an extra $40 to file in a second state from which we got some income - our refund for that state? $20

I have never had a refund...
And I like it that way. This year I owed 1,100, last year 1,600, and so on and so on.
I have explained the interest free loan thing to many and they are happier to get a return. What is even better is they use their refund to pay credit card debt which they accumulated over the year (paying 10+% interest). If they had properly planned their withholding they could have used the additional $$$ to avoid credit card use and subsequent interest accrual....

Well, that's just silly. But then the only time I didn't pay my credit card off at the end of the month was when I got a new one to buy an engagement ring that came with 1 year 0 interest (and that still got paid off before the year was up because I hate having debt hanging over my head).

I would but I have had terrible sinus infections and allergies most my life. Recently had surgery to remove some polyps and straighten things out and I am a brand new person.

All that being said, I get bloody snot still and no biggie.

keep in mind this is free internet advice

Anyone use embrocation in 70-90 degree weather? I have some medium and mild mad alchemy that I love and I am contemplating getting some of the warm weather stuff. Just wish it had sunscreen as well as that would be perfect.

Why? I have never used it in any condition but does it have other benefits than just warming you up like icy hot?

Repels bugs which is really a minor deal. Honestly, I enjoy the warming sensation when I ride and I do find the smell invigorating. part of it may be because of my allergies but I do find it keeps nasal passages open. Could totally be mental and I don't doubt it is a waste of money but it is part of riding that I enjoy right now so...

Not impressed with that, might have to use the pit wheels and sacrifice those tires if this is the norm. Had to adjust the headset as well, totally unrelated to the wheel swap, but necessary none the less.

A plus is the brake track is bang on and only requires a pad swap and QR adjustments.
For what it's worth, if you're using anything other than our Velotape or something similar (like Stan's) you'll have a hard time getting tubes and tires on the rim. The thicker stuff like Velox makes tire mounting a challenge, a bit of a byproduct of the tubeless-ready web.
