man. sorry dudes. it's currently readin 78f here at Stanford. The sun is out, blue skies, and nothing but the constant and insanely loud droning of a shiny green one of these ****ers flying around at 500ft all day.
I don't even think Obama is allowed to fly on those as they crash so often, yet they've been using that to circle around campus all day.

I don't really mind honestly. I'm looking to toss up 200 TSS on it, and there's no way I'd hit the numbers I'm aiming for outdoors alone. I'm going to suffer like a pig before a hawaiian luau, or something.

3 hours on the rollers on the schedule for tomorrow for me as well, prolly going with YouTube videos of Tour of Flanders (2014 is 2:40 long, so almost the whole session).
Interesting note to me - I am drawing heavily upon TARPM for workouts. There are sublactate workouts that prescribe riding at 95-100% of FTP for sublactate intervals, and lactate intervals that are prescribed at 90-95% of FTP. Seems off, but then again, the latter intervals are part of a 3 hour session, the former part of a 1:15 session.

3 hours on the trainer? I'd rather get dropped.
I took another run at my aborted 20 min test from Wednesday and finished it today. Actually finished 3 watts up from goal. Yes!
If I wasn't so fat (6 or 7lbs over last year), I'd be sitting pretty for February.

I've got three hours planned for tomorrow too, and will end up with about the same TSS. It'll be 43 and sunny when I leave, and 60 when I get back. Your payback will come this summer, when I'll be drenched with sweat just topping off my tires at sunrise.

at 43 I'd probably be riding inside anyway.
my universe honestly isn't governed by some mental game of oneupmanship on the virtues or pitfalls of where one lives. I like the cold, and I prefer to train indoors. good god.

Not meaning oneupmanship, just pointing out the ebb and flow.

I missed the memo and did 3 hours yesterday. Nothing today.
Junior has been a bit under the weather and fell asleep at 4 PM. He woke up briefly at 4:45, complaining about everything, and when I picked him up (against his wishes) he promptly slumped over my shoulder and fell asleep again. He's still asleep. Normally he goes to sleep at 8 PM or so. This means it'll be a really early wake up call. This morning it was 4 AM, I hope he sleeps that long.
What all that means is that tomorrow may be another rest day because I may not be able to stay awake.

As others, I got 3-3 1/2 hours both Saturday and Sunday. With the weather I'll be stuck inside in the trainer for both days. Going to be a fun weekend!

Rest week this week. 15 minute trainer "field test" yesterday. Miserable. I felt like I left gas in the tank, plus coming in lower than my goal.
Reasons could include lack of sleep the night before (serious insomnia), having to do the test after work versus morning, the fact that my legs still felt full of lead, as they have through much of this winter. It could also be that doing this on a new bike with Stages versus my old bike with Quarq means that I was actually performing better than the comparative numbers show… but who knows.
Reality is I just feel like I failed and wonder why I've been busting my ass for these past few months.
