Slapped them together as 1x40'. Those first 45-60s after each sprint is no fun - and really the point of the whole workout.

My last sprint was botched due to some asshat pulling onto the road off the sand right in front of me, damn. I was really hyped up for it and looking to produce a great sprint.

One of my favorite routes, but a terrible place to have a mechanical. I always have my phone but there's no service out there. Glad you found a friendly redneck to help you we have a buddy who's nickname is broken spoke because he broke a spoke on that very road and his wife had to bring him a wheel.

I did a couple rides yesterday, my usual pre work group ride than last night I headed out to a local practice crit that some friends recently started. I went a few weeks ago and there were a dozen riders, last night had over 20. Good to see it growing. The crazy part was that it was 108 degrees at 7pm, and we rode for about 45 minutes. The sun started to go down and it dipped to 104 degrees. Still fun, and there's a BBQ place close by for post ride cold beers with friends!
I enjoyed myself a bit too much so this mornings ride and yoga were pretty chill.

Yeah, I don't live here for the great cycling. That's a hobby. I'm here because of family and work. However, the ride to the lake on a spring morning is pretty nice, imho.

the Lake Area was nice, the city and highway to get there were less nice. Come to CA for riding for some time!

The point was that 30 miles at threshold is an hour (or less) by definition.

But I assume the threshold was not the whole time as it sounded in your original post.

it's both kind of jabbing mikey as a narcissist for thinking every post is about him, but it's also a double entendre in that looking into the reflecting pool and seeing one's reflection is the very representative of Mikey looking at GSBs post and seeing his own anxieties.

Like I said, solid post. Would approve again. 10/10
