Shrinkage
Did 3 crits today. First race was in the low 40's, when I left my house it was 33 degrees. It's been cold the last few days.
Got home and soaked my legs in the swimming pool for ten minutes. The pool is unheated. If you can imagine someone standing in a pool in a speedo while wearing a flannel jacket, you are either very odd or a bike racer.

Making a kilometer blurry
When we went to the Fiesta Bowl, it was 38F outside, and Thing One (age 10) wanted to go swim laps in the hotel's outdoor pool -- which is really under-heated. It took him about 200yd of butterfly to get comfortable. Gah.
I've done my share of mountain lake swimming, but I wasn't getting in.
