Not sure how realistic it is but I'm hoping to watch a race or two this season (in addition to the pipe dream of actually racing a race). If I can I'm going to head over.

I think ironically as the number of events goes down the number of participants in a given race goes up. The numbers for this weekend are astounding. Apparently 746 pre-reg for Grant's Tomb. I'm happy for the promoter/s as I think they struggled for a couple years.

True. But even with good weather, a mild winter, etc, I never saw more than about 300-350 pre-reg at the Spring Series with normal numbers being more like 250. Most I had including massive day of race entries was maybe 450. 750 is totally nutty.

I'm retired. I can barely dial it up to 200 watts.

I'd say Grant's Tomb is the most fun crit course I've done. Fast and swoopy, with just the right number of NYC Dept of Public Works designed technical manholes and grates.

Exactly. That little climb makes almost everyone feel like a badass. That's what's so great about it.

Oh man, the Route One Rampage was hard.......80 feet of climbing per 1 mile lap. Ended up having to lineup at the back. Instant disadvantage which I never made up. If it becomes a regular thing I would consider going back to MD for it again next year.

Obviously (for those that went to the race) I didn't make it to Plainville. Can't make it next week as we're doing a get together for Junior.
I've been looking for race reports etc, but other than the M40s (break lapped the field) I haven't heard a peep. No real pictures either.

I was there and in that race, and this doesn't ring a bell. There was a crash in the race before the 123, which I thought was the M40+.
