also, dont quick release links stretch with teh chain? that's why you shouldn't reuse them. unless they're made from a more durable material that allows them to wear longer than the chain itself.

and i find it surprising that the BOA laces get lifetime warranty. I'm assuming that includes crashes too? you sure it's not manufacturer defect warranty [MENTION=125938]Ygduf[/MENTION]?

Fizik and REI have units that are snap on/off rail mounts.

got the campy bb30 adapter cups on; more of an adventure than it should've been but I'm a cat 3 mechanic at best..

used the wrong tool to take out the bb30 bearings, busted em up real good. at least they aren't needed with these new adapter cups.

then over torqued the crank bolt to 80nm instead of the 70 max.. damn wrench has two sets of numbers and I read the wrong one. cranks felt tight during test ride, that explains it.

i like doing bike work myself as much as anyone, but removing/pressing bearings is something i don't really mess with.

It's not hard with the proper tools.

I would use a piece of wood to anchor the bearing from the inside, and a rod/hammer to chisel out the wood. anything else metal and sharp would risk damaging the bearing.

installation i used bolts and washers for the pf30, but the cup fittings would be handy for bb30, because it's a precision tool, although stacked washers would do the same trick, as long as you don't over tighten the thing.

Reading about BB30 problems makes me want to stick with GXP/whatever that standard is called. So easy to put a new bottom bracket on..and it seems to be fairly low maintenance..or im just stupid when it comes to maintaining it.

I have BB30 and it's sort of a pain.

I think that the bearings are officially ruined if you remove them for BB30. The lateral load to push them out isn't good for them. However I've reused bearings because I didn't have another set.

I think I'm selling my venge for a fm098. I can sell the venge and use that money to buy two dengfu frames (racing and training). I bet the performance margin between the venge and the fm098 is negligible

OK. New 6870 install last night and I get so lights on Junction A and no lights on SM-BCR2 when plugged in.
