As of last year he lived in the town I used to live in in CT. Someone told me he was doing the Wed night rides in nearby Greenwich, the hammerfest one (Jeff Pierce was a regular on the ride when he lived in the area). Everyone treated him politely and he didn't beat up on everyone, he was just a guy enjoying a group ride. Apparently at some point someone somewhere said something and he stopped doing the rides.

I have no idea if he's still there now but I don't see any indication that he's moved.

Ha, I did the Gran Fondo Catskills a couple of years back and he was there. Friendly dude, laid back and dryly funny. Oddly enough I'm wearing my GFC "with Floyd Landis" shirt right now, looks like this

He was in Idyllwild, but was essentially a hermit with no prospects. Wouldn't surprise me if he moved on.

Had a stress interview in Miami. Guy basically asked if I was lying on my medical school application. It went downhill from there. Ugh. Sucked so hard.

I just got home from UMass. I freaking loved it. It's a tie for my top choice now. I really hope they like me :/

I used to work for Law Enforcement and had to take a ton of background checks with lie detectors then get interviewed by some some cagey detective that makes you feel like every word out of your mouth is a lie. They're not fun.

Ever read the 2011 NYV Velocity interview, where Kimmage interviews Landis? I guess it is an extended edit of the material that Kimmage wrote up in the Sunday Times for a more general audience.

Not saying you have to see it as some small redemption, but I know it changed how I thought about him. It still pales in relation to the lies, but I think it does show genuine regret and, at long last, some truth.

I'm actually working at removing so many references of the island to my facebook feed. It's become an endless stream of marketing.

I liked the episode of "House" where Dave Matthews plays an idiot savant who is a piano virtuoso. The doctors perform brain surgery on him and he loses his musical ability but gains the ability to button his own shirt.

There are so many worse bands/groups who have sold millions. DMB is just meh, not really obnoxious like some.

I have to say, I have a bunch of good high school/college memories centered around the song "Satellite". "Crash" too. Beyond that, not so much, but those two songs do bring back warm memories (and some almost/not quite memories too) for me. Also crappy college memories associated with that godawful "don't drink the water, there's blood in the water" steaming pile of turd masquerading as a song.

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic, I've rarely met anyone who's heard of him. I was actually surprised to see TKP mention his name here. I first heard his stuff around 1974, I think, when a friend put on "The Heart of Saturday Night".

Certainly wasn't trying to offend anyone.

Of course. You know how people on the forums get all emotional and passionate when they talk about cars? Well, music does that to me.

Ouch, I'm not sure what you'd put in a case worth 3 million dollars, maybe a bunch of vintage Dave Matthews CD's?
