This doesn't make sense to me. Just because he didn't move up he didn't break the rules? I figured taking a shortcut is illegal, no matter the outcome. If someone dopes but doesn't win, it's still cheating. If the Pats deflated the footballs but didn't need the advantage to beat the Colts in that game, it's still cheating.

he didn't 'cut the course'
he was forced off course to avoid a horrific crash. in doing so he plummeted into a field, necessitating a leap across a ditch. The idea that he should have wrestled his bike to a stop, dsmounted and walked back up the hill is ****ing stupid. He could have flatted, broken a cleat jumping, broken a fork, or simply crashed. The idea that there was intent to gain is wildly silly. To equate it as an act of cheating is to simply demonstrate you don't have a workable grasp of the english language.

It comes down to interpretation and intent. If I blast through a corner on the sidewalk in a crit because I was pushed and had a choice to blast or cause a dangerous corner crash, any reasonable official would let that go. If I blasted the corner on the last lap to move up ten spots and podium, any reasonable official would relegate the rider. Same rule, each had intent. One respects the rules, one does not.
FYI USAC rolled out a rider report function in their app last year. Only officials have it. The intent is for any USAC official at any race anywhere to be able to report a rider for whatever reason. If a rider has been warned repeatedly by officials for any reason, it can be viewed by any official, and used to enforce or reinforce action by officials who did not observe the action. It also allows checks for Not Authorized to Ride and suspensions.

Evidently so, is the way sol is sung for the sake of sounding correct, but translates as sew. Go figure.

things stuff you learn when your kid is a choral geek. the good news is there's less cheating in choir than cycling.

Data point - I burned a can of 77 at junior Nationals for other kids. So the LA that wants pins - have not had puppy race there. But I guess while U16 Nationals are not UCI, maybe they are more inline with UCI rules. Don't know.
Anyway - today in Chico more than one rule violation where the rider chose to break a rule and in one case gained an advantage.
Is this cheating - Why/Why Not?

What rule (Chico and USAC) violations here (I count 3). Please assume this is how the rider/s road the race. I don't think there was a cheater.

And I'm sure you would pull the former U16 NC and UCI 2nd place TT junior, and the current 17-18 NC and about half the other top USA riders. I'd like to see how that would work out for you.

Doge, FFS man, you seem to have an awfully guilty conscience you're trying to cleanse through finger pointing and chasmic leaps of logic. That's an awfully rough road to travel. Find a priest, a rabbi, or a zen master, man. You're killing us.

What leap of logic? What, even in your opinion cheating have I supported? Puppy is squeaky clean. I'm reporting how it is and giving video proof of rule breaking. What do you think there is to feel guilty over?
