There are lots of options between a DIY job and Waterford job. Dr. Deltron amoung many others do a fine job of repainting frames to your desires and have much more experience and the right tools to do it with. Ask around and see if you can find a local frame builder in your area who will do repaints as well.
Ed Litton out in Richmond CA does excellent work. He painted my Mondia frame/fork for $250 (single color)
