I've been a member of bikeforums for a coupla years... been away for quite a while though, got frustrated with the server problems & some of the members... also have to admit I generally prefer the "other" forum were I log my miles.
As far as the snow, I was really hoping to wake up to the 2-4cm of snow they were forcasting. I like the sound of my Nokians buzzing along on dry pavement, but it feels kinda silly.
Really looking forward to that first early morning ride on fresh snow-covered paths... very peaceful. But also wishing for one more warm weekend. I'd like to take the road bike out for one last fling. hmmm as I type this I'm thinking if I can ride for 45min on bad roads at -30 with the hybrid, why not try at least an hour on the road bike.... hmm.
Did you come out for any of the Horizon 100 rides on Saturdays and Wednesday? We had Our last Official road ride last Saturday, however we are meeting tomorrow at Doug's, (9:00am) for an un-official MTB ride I'm told.
The server problems was frustrating, but it seems like it mostly cured now. What is the "Other Forum" you speak of?
Apparently it is suppose to get warmer this weekend, so it may be a bit before the snow flies. I went to Doug's and picked up a set of Continental Spike Claw 120 tires. So I'm pretty much ready. I have been using my Sidi Dominator shoes with black cotton dress socks for the -9C rides in the morning, I have been fine.
Where did you purchase your Nokians from?
