what can my wheels take?
My jamis nova has mavic ma3 rims and I have serfas 700x38 tires on them. I got an alcatraz chain lock which weights a ton, I weigh 150ish. I was going to go to the store after work but it involved getting some heavy items like milk and odules and I was concerned about overwhelming the wt capacity of my wheels.
I want to use my bike for more errands so I'm wondering what the limits are. The heavy chain kinda sucks but sometimes there is no bike rack so a U-lock wouldn't work. I have a cable lock, a really thick master one but I think I would rather carry the wt of the limp chain than wrestle with the cable coils, my bike gets more banged up from that than anything else!
