you can put it on a diet for fairly cheap. Places to shave weight cheap are the tires and saddle.
Kenda Karma L3R Pro 480g $30-45 each
IRC Mythos 510g $12-25 each
Maxxis Flyweight 330's 330g $30
Maxxis Flyweight 490's 490g $30
I run the IRCs cuz they are cheap, light and climb good. I have a L3R pro on the front cuz it's light and got it free from a raffle at one of my races.
This is the seat I have. Cheap, light and comfy.

Most stock saddles are 350-500gram, that one is 200, so you can save 1/2 lb just in that saddle upgrade.
Most tires are 600-800 grams pending size and tread style. The IRC works very well in SOCAL, and cheap. So you can save 1lb of rotational mass with swapping out stock tires. I can't remember the calculation for weight saved on rotaional mass but I want to say it's like 4to1 or somthing. So if your stock tires were 650g each, 1300grams total and you instal some IRCs. You will net 280grams which is .62lbs. You you will feel this saves ALOT more then that of the saddle saving.
1lb = 453.6grams
