When riding to work, if there are cars parked on the street, I'll ride farther to the left than is necessary. This allows me to pass parked cars at a distance where I can't get doored.

I know that this causes cars behind me to have to slow down. Do I care that this single occupant in a 2500 pound gas guzzler may be delayed a few seconds? Not at all.
